Janet Macunovich will be the speaker at our meeting on November 8, offering solutions to common gardening dilemmas with her presentation titled “The Challenging Garden.”
Some places in the yard, like under trees or in places where the ground is soggy, make it difficult for most plants to thrive. Here’s your chance to gather ideas for what to plant and how to care for plants in such challenging places.
Author of several books on gardening, including “Easy Landscape Design,” “Easy Garden Design” and “Caring for Perennials,” Janet Macunovich owns a landscape design company called Perennial Favorites. She teaches classes in garden design and maintenance, writes a weekly column for the Detroit News and also shares her knowledge via radio programs.
Brighton Garden Club meets at 10 a.m. the second Thursday of every month September through June. Our social time and business meeting are from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
